Tell us a little bit about yourself?

Originally from the UK, I have been living in Canberra for 5 years and absolutely love it! I think Canberra is one of the best cities, such a beautiful landscape, the food & drink always blows me away and the people are just wonderful.

I have over 14 years of experience in accounting and finance, working at a top tier accounting firm in London and as a management accountant for a global sock brand in the UK. Since moving to Australia in 2016 I have been lucky enough to work with Bonsella in Kingston, and most recently for a not-for-profit based in Queensland. I have been exposed to a wide range of people and sectors which have all helped me to develop a solid and extensive knowledge of business and accounting.

I have travelled extensively, however still have a bunch of places on my bucket list (once the international borders reopen), as well as take my partner to the UK…for a wet and grey Christmas! One of my personal and now business goals, is to get involved in ‘Accounting for International Development’ (AFID.)

I have always had a passion for giving back to the community as well as local and global sustainability and impact led change. I had the opportunity to spend an extended period of time in Nigeria advocating for local communities and organisations to promote development, this was a life changing experience that has really shaped my own ethics and values.
