Tell us a little bit about yourself?

I’m 27 and have lived in Canberra my whole life. I work full-time in the government so Good Grazd is my little (not so little anymore) side business. I’m a very outgoing and social person and am constantly on the go, my friends & family say that I never stop. I get up at 4:30 every morning to train which is a big part of my life! I’m a busy person but believe it is important to make the most of every day, do as much as you can to better yourself and not stay stagnant!

Tell us about Good Graz’d and how it came to be?

Good Grazd was launched in September 2020 so only 6 months ago!I’ve always been a creative person and love entertaining and feeding people. I have a Greek background so how can I not! I started off making platters for my friend’s birthday parties just causally nothing serious. After seeing how excited I’d got and the amount of imagination I put into making the platters was when I realised the passion was there. I thought I should at least try to make something out of it if I enjoyed it that much.It took months of planning and deciding the concept of Good Grazd; supporting local and being environmentally friendly. Two little things that I believe can make the world of a difference. It was during the time COVID hit so supporting other small businesses was more important than ever which is why I source from other Canberra businesses as much as possible.All my take away boxes are eco-friendly/compostable and use serving wear for my platters which requires minimal waste and cleaning. I also loved the idea of the wooden trays as no other grazing company in Canberra does them so I wanted that to be my signature. I bought a whiteboard started writing down ideas, did lots of research and spoke to other amazing Canberra small businesses! It’s just myself and my best friend Adria behind the scenes, I couldn’t do it without her. She has played a huge part in building Good Grazd, not to mention kept me sane along the way. Although we both have the same creativity I believe we both bring something a little bit different to the table.

By sharing and saving our posts on social media. We would also love your feedback! Whether that be after purchasing from us, telling us what more you’d like to see on our socials or in our grazes! I believe feedback is so important! Also being understanding and patient with our responses as we are a two man team and work full-time.

Any advice for those who are thinking about turning their dreams into a reality?What do you have to lose? This is something I had to keep reiterating to myself at the beginning. One thing you need to understand is that if it was easy everyone would then do it. Even if you’re finding it hard or a bit overwhelming don’t give up! ENJOY THE RIDE! It’s a dream for a reason so reach out for help, contact other businesses, ask questions and surround yourself with likeminded people! Stick to it, write down your goals, don’t be afraid of failure – there is no such thing! Don’t be hesitate to lean on others for support or ask for help, make friends and connections with other businesses along the way. The only regret you really could have is not giving it a try!
