EDGARS INN OPENS CANBERRA’S NEWEST BAR AND WINE ROOM

Attention all cocktail and wine lovers, our beloved Edgar’s in Ainslie is introducing its charming new wine bar, Wakefield’s Bar & Wine Room, officially opening tonight!

Wakefield’s Bar & Wine features a diverse range of Australian wines and local produce in an intimate and warm-lit space ideal for date night or girls night.

It’s the perfect excuse to come out of hibernation this winter and enjoy what our city has to offer!

You and your girlfriends can indulge in a bespoke cocktail menu. Forget what you know about the classics and try Wakefield’s delicious take on an Old Fashioned, a smoked take on a ‘Charlie Chaplin’ and the perfect caramel espresso martini. If you prefer a wine, choose from their extensive Australian based wine list, and take a peek into their wine cellar.

Wakefield is serving up this seasons best produce including a mortadella and brie toastie with red onion jam, truffle fries and lamb riblets. Conveniently located in the busy corner at the Ainslie shops and next door to pizzeria Mama Dough, Wakefields is just one of cosy areas of Edgars Inn.

The atmosphere was cosy and elegant with a little 1920s vibe. We love some exposed brick and hints of velvet burgundy, making it a picture-perfect backdrop for dinner, drinks and mingling. The cocktails and entertainment were well worth the outing!
