| What is your drink of choice? (doesn’t have to be alcoholic) Gin and soda with a slice (or two) of cucumber. Tell us about YOU? I am a proud wife and mum to three kids. I have a great circle of friends and family who I also cherish. I love to be active and get outside for a walk everyday which also helps to balance out my love for cooking and eating out! So far I have, and continue to have, a fulfilling career in the public service where I have held roles in service delivery, management, and executive positions. Tell us about Matheson Real Estate and how it came to be?I have pursued real estate to achieve a long overdue dream of property sales, and Matheson Real Estate is a dream come true! There is also part of me that perused real estate after selling and purchasing my own properties. I identified a gap in the industry where fixed fees are not usually available, and if they are there is a stigma around the type of service commitment you will get from the agent (simply untrue). Matheson Real Estate offers fixed commission, that is my point of difference in the Canberra real estate industry. I have a passion for real estate and hope to become a respected and trusted part of the industry whilst also remaining in the public service. Do you have any lessons learnt/things you would do differently for those starting out in the business world? I always say this, and particularly to my kids! Anything in life that brings you great joy or accomplishment requires dedication and hard work, there is nothing in life worth anything that didn’t begin with that.
