MOTHERS DAY AT THE HAIG PARK VILLAGE MARKETS

Haig Park Village Markets will be treating Canberra’s mums to a special market event for mother’s day this year.

While the Haig Park Village Market is traditionally a produce and food market, on Sunday, May 9th, 2021 from 9:00 am until 2:00 pm the market will be hosting an array of new stalls for the special event including handmade jewellery, candles, fashion, beauty and more.Live music, pop-up bars and the general festive atmosphere of the Sunday market will provide Canberrans with the perfect opportunity to treat mum to a picnic in the park.As usual, the market will still have its regular high-quality local farmers and producers attending – comprised of some of the regions best sellers of artisan baked goods, organic produce, farm-fresh fruit and veg, free-range eggs and pork, honey, milk and cheeses.Local Village Markets Director, Alexandra Webb commented: “This is the first special event we have organised at the market but we hope it will be the first of many. Mothers day is a day for family and friends to celebrate all those wonderful mums and carers out there by spending some quality time together and what better way to spend the day than by getting together in lovely Haig Park to enjoy the Autumn leaves, a glass of wine and some fabulous live music.”

Fellow Local Village Markets Director Rosie Green commented: “The deck chairs and picnic blankets will be out in force so attendees can sit back and relax, grab a bite to eat or fill up their picnic baskets and enjoy a day outdoors with friends and family browsing all the beautiful products on offer.
