THE BEST LOCAL CANBERRA CAFES TO WORK FROM
Ever wondered which cafes in Canberra double as the ultimate office? Well, we sure have. Here at The CBR Woman we often work remotely from cafes so we can get to work with a delicious cup of coffee.
In the spirit of sharing wisdom, we have curated a list of our faves (in our opinion) to work from in Canberra.
First up we have East Row Speciality Coffee. This cafe is relatively new to the Canberra cafe scene, but it offers a large and luxurious place to work in. The cafe is located on the corner of London circuit and East Row in the city. The space is filled with light, and there are many tables to station yourself at. The tiled pillars and arched shelves are a stunning feature in the space. East Row serves Ona coffee from 7am weekdays, perfect for the early risers.
Down in the south of Canberra, Two Before Ten has the cutest little cafe in Tuggeranong. The spot has lakeside views (the nice side) and big floor to ceiling windows. The food is well priced and perfect for fuelling your work day. I particularly enjoy the chicken pesto toastie. The space is great to work in on weekdays, because it is always easy to find a car park around the area, and a table inside.
Enter, Red Barron in Symonston. This funky little cafe is ideal for working alone, or for bringing your colleagues out for a remote working day too. The venue is large, and has options for indoor and outdoor seating. They have a delicious cabinet of wraps, sandwiches and sweet treats (including huge donuts), which have you sorted for lunch. Did I mention they have donuts?
It is rare that you will be distracted by too much noise in this venue. They also offer alcoholic beverages which are perfect for Friday afternoon knock off.
I’m sure by now you’re all well aware of the very chic Urban Pantry out in Manuka, but I couldn’t leave this one off the list. This space is bright and filled with greenery. The staff are so friendly and the food is divine – although their choccy
milkshake does not go astray either! The best spot to set up your station is arguably the seating in the sheltered outdoor area. The only down side to this venue is being able to find a park, due to the popularity of Manuka.
The final recommendation is Lonsdale street Roasters. These guys serve their own specialty coffee beans, and it is delicious! They have a secluded area upstairs which is best for working at, so you don’t feel as though you are in the way of other customers who are there to socialise. They are located in the heart of Braddon, so it is the perfect location to check out other cafes or boutiques in the area if you need a break.
Please let us know on Instagram @thecbrwoman if you visit any of these cafes on your next remote working day, and let us know your thoughts or recommendations.
