The Tipsy Sketching Club

The Tipsy Sketching Club was created in 2022 by Lauren Sutherland, who was sitting as a model for a life drawing session and thought – geez, this would be good with some tunes and a beer! Taking life drawing sessions to neighbourhood pubs opened up this fantastic art form to a brand new audience, and in 2024 now services not only Canberra, but Newcastle and Bathurst as well. The sessions are casual, welcoming, and inclusive, and the variety of models ensures participants have the opportunity to sketch a broad range of bodies.
