What is your drink of choice?
A Latte is definitely my drink of choice at the moment (7 month old teething baby needs a motivated mumma).
Tell us a little bit about yourself?
I am a Personal Trainer, Group Fitness instructor. I specialise in women’s fitness including prenatal and postnatal training through my business Platinum Health & Fitness.Prior to starting my own business I was a qualified instructor for 3 years working in various environments mostly in women’s fitness. Where I found my passion for working with women to achieve their Health & Fitness goals.
I have a little boy who is 7 months old and is a great tantrum thrower already.
I love spending time with my family and being in the outdoors, which is where you’ll find me most weekends camping, fishing, walking or running outdoor bootcamps.
Tell us about Platinum Health Fitness and how it came to be?
Platinum Health & Fitness is a women’s only outdoor bootcamp and personal training facility that is more than just your average fitness destination.We provide a fun , flexible and motivating opportunity for individuals to start their fitness journey in a supportive environment. We believe the key to achieving your health and fitness goals is through having fun every time you workout.
My business was started two years ago after contemplating for about 6 months whether I should just take the leap and do what I am passionate about. I attended an event held by the Canberra Outlet Centre where they had guest speakers from women in businesses all around Canberra. I got talking to a lovely lady who owns “We Found Active” and she said to me what’s stopping you? What have you got to lose and just do it!
The next month I opened my very own health & fitness business Platinum Health & Fitness.
Two years down the track and the reason I am continuing my business and trying to grow is not only my passion for women’s health & fitness. But to also have the flexibility to spend more time with my little boy and make my family a priority whilst enjoying what I do everyday.

Any advice for those who are thinking about turning their dreams into a reality?The same advice I got given before I started my very own business. Just ask yourself what is really stopping you? And if it’s fear? Just do it! Give it a go as you will look back in a few years time, and think I am glad I gave it a crack, it was a great experience and look where I am now!
